FULL EVENT SCHEDULE COMING SOON!

The focus of the event is early learners and their families. We will invite families with kids of all ages to participate, but have things specifically to help them through the beginning reader stage as well as how to help support their child's curiosity and learning. PBS would have a table of family resources including guides on what to practice with their child at home, a guide on questions to ask when reading with their child, PBS Kids swag, information on the PBS Kids educational apps and tv shows. We will bring one of our PBS Kids characters to get the families excited and engaged! In addition to PBS Kids, we also want to have community partners that provide wrap around services for families, the Lorain library for library cards, a dentist with dental care resources, Lorain County Jobs and Family Services, and others with valuable resources. We will host a children's entertainer, and have engaging hands on activities for the families to participate in. As part of this Community event, we will also give families an opportunity to help their fellow community members. Families will be asked to help us color PBS Kids Bookmarks to go into kits we put together with PBS Kids Books and stuffies and send to a local family crisis center.

The purpose of the event is to get families in touch with services that they may need and educational resources and experiences that can help their children and create a bonding experience. We want learning and getting resources to be as fun and stress-free as possible.

Listed by JESSE JUKEBOX (Squarespace), Lorain Historical Society (Wix Events) and lorainwithlittles.org (Wix Events), gathered by the Westlake events calendar.
